We are bound by the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we apply the same high standards — including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — to visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.

We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve our services. This includes:

• Repair bookings & enquiries

  Your name, email address, phone number, device brand and model, fault description, and any photos you upload so we can diagnose and quote your repair.

• Newsletter signups

  Your email address plus the date and time you gave consent. We only send marketing emails if you explicitly opt in.

• Transaction information

  Payment details are processed by our secure payment providers (such as Stripe and Square). We never see or store your full card number.

• Technical data

  Automatically collected information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and understand how it is used.

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• To process and manage your repair bookings, quotes, warranties and payments
• To communicate with you about your repair status and respond to enquiries
• To send you the newsletter and marketing messages — only with your explicit consent

We never sell or rent your email address to third parties. Every marketing email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also request removal at any time by emailing privacy@letzfix.com.au. We honour unsubscribe and erasure requests within 48 hours.

If you subscribed and later unsubscribe, we keep a record that you opted out so we do not email you again. Under GDPR you may instead request full erasure of your data at any time.

Our website uses small text files called cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site through privacy-respecting analytics.

Repair records are generally retained for 7 years to support warranty claims. Newsletter subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe or request erasure, whichever comes first.

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request erasure (the "right to be forgotten") — we will permanently delete your data, including newsletter consent records
• Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
• Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) or your local data protection authority
